ANCIENT TRADITIONS for the MODERN KITCHEN 

Learn how to make simple ferments, sprout or activate the life in your foods, and traditional staples such as broths, water kefir and how to use these in your everyday modern kitchen no matter what style of eating you follow; without spending all day in the kitchen!

Simple and Fun

Fermenting, sprouting, cooking to preserve the life you've released in foods shouldn't be complicated, shouldn't take all day, and shouldn't be intimidating! That's why I've designed a simple and engaging learning experience to elevate your favorite meals into not only something everyone can enjoy but be wholly nourished by!

Learn Together

With this six week series, you'll have the opportunity to learn virtually at your own pace and on your time if you can't make the lives. You will have an opportunity to communicate with your fellow class mates on a private group page, get your questions answered and share inspiration. Learning is always more fun when you're not alone! 

Culture Soaking

Or fermenting is an ancient tradition in almost every culture. Though its only been in recent history that many have abandoned these traditions the resulting ill health has spread quickly and rampantly. Learn how simple it is, why it's important and how to incorporate this tradition into your life without it being a full time job. I have focused primarily on water kefir as my base for all culture soaking and will teach you the multitude of ways to use and enjoy it, including making bread.  

Sprouting

Again this is a tradition that has only very recently been abandoned by modern day fast everything. Though it takes time, the input from you is minimal. It's about planning ahead so when it needs your attention you are available. And if you're not, what to do about it. If you eat nuts, seeds, legumes or grains, at the bare minimum they need to be sprouted in order to not contribute to health challenges, stress out your digestive system and actually fuel you. 

Preserving

How to maintain the life you just activated and not destroy it with your preparation methods. How to prepare culture soaked, sprouted foods in a way that keeps the life active and available. This is where we learn how to use a dehydrator and slow cooker (or a customizable Instant Pot) to batch prep and have these food available and on hand ready to go. Life = life. The more life in your food, the more life in you. This is the sweet spot where you get to have life sustaining staples prepared ahead and ready to go when you need it.

Nourishing Broths

What you'll learn:

  • How to make and use broths; including bone broth, mineral broth, Bieler broth and postassium broth 
  • The therapeutic value of different types of broth and how to use them
  • How to make a fabulous broth for Asian style soups and noodle dishes; both vegan and animal based options

Preparing Live Foods

What you'll learn:

  • How to use a dehydrator to preserve your living nuts and seeds
  • How to cook your sprouted legumes and grains without destroying the life you just activated
  • An introduction to batch prepping the Live Vibrantly way

Learn These Foundational Elements in Six Weeks

Live 60-minute classes will be on Wednesdays at 11:30 am. No worries if you can't make the live, you will be able to watch it later at your own preferred time and still ask questions and connect with classmates. This intro series is part of what I used to teach live in a 30-day intensive setting for my Restorative EcoChef students. I'm excited to be offering this class as a stand-alone series now.  Learn the fundamentals of how to prepare foods that support thriving microbiomes, deep healing, restore vibrant health, and maintain it.
